PICAIS bids farewell to Dr Tariq Daradkeh following his three-month research stay at the University of Passau. The Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science at Yarmouk University in Jordan was a PICAIS Fellow from June to September 2026 and was hosted by Prof. Dr Hermann de Meer, Chair of Computer Networks and Computer Communications.

His research project, “AI Enabled Digital Twins for IoT Management and Digitalisation”, focused on digital twins and their potential for the digitalisation and management of IoT systems. Digital twins provide virtual representations of real-world objects and systems, enabling their behaviour to be modelled, simulated and optimised based on current data. Dr Daradkeh’s research focused in particular on their potential to address future challenges in 6G networks and applications and to support the digital transformation of business models.

During his stay, Dr Daradkeh was able to further advance his research at the University of Passau and benefit from academic exchange with his host and researchers at the University. His research stay thus contributed to PICAIS’s and the University of Passau’s international and interdisciplinary collaboration in the field of digital technologies.

With the completion of his research stay, Dr Tariq Daradkeh’s PICAIS fellowship comes to an end. We would like to thank him for the valuable academic exchange and wish him every success in his future research at Yarmouk University and in his upcoming projects.
