PICAIS is responsible for conducting the application and selection process. Applications will be evaluated on a competitive basis by members of the University's Research Advisory Board and, if necessary, by additional external advisors.
We strive for appropriate social and intellectual diversity in our scholarship cohorts and would particularly encourage female researchers to apply.
The following criteria are taken into account in the evaluation:
1) Quality and feasibility of the proposed project
2) Research profile of the applicant
3) Contribution to the University of Passau
The selection process is usually concluded within 6-7 weeks. Applicants will be informed about the outcome per email.
In addition to the directors, PICAIS is supported by external advisors in operational and strategic matters.
