Duration
6 months, 10 February to 9 August 2026
Host at the University of Passau
Prof. Dr. Hermann de Meer
Chair of Computer Networks and Computer Communications
In this project, Dr. Daradkeh will focus on modeling and simulation using the digital twin
(DT) approach. A digital twin is a virtual replica that mirrors real-world entities by linking
physical products with their virtual counterparts and defining their interconnections. This
technology has emerged as a transformative enabler across multiple domains, including
manufacturing, healthcare, urban planning, and environmental management. Digital twins
act as real-time simulators of system behaviors, enabling AI to continuously learn from live
data, optimize performance, and proactively detect potential issues. In his research, the aim
is to leverage digital twins to address the challenges of digitalization and management IoT in
6G networks and applications, while also supporting the broader digital transformation of
business models.
