This project examines how digital agriculture platforms reshape knowledge systems, data governance, and inequality in global food systems, using Nigeria as a case study. While such platforms can improve access to information, markets, and services, they also raise concerns about unequal participation, data control, and platform power. Using a mixed-methods design, the study combines analysis of Nigeria GHS-Panel with qualitative interviews of platform providers, extension agents, and policymakers. Quantitative methods include fixed effects, difference-in-differences, and inverse probability weighting, alongside distributional analysis of heterogeneous impacts. Qualitative data explore governance, data ownership, and algorithmic control. Integrating platform ecosystem theory with data governance and political economy perspectives, the study shows how digitalization can both enhance productivity and reproduce inequality, informing more inclusive digital agriculture policies.
